The GrInShield On-Site Training on Polymer Processing & Studying Mechanical Characteristics, taking place from November 13-15, 2024, at the Faculty of Polymer Technology, Ozare 19, Slovenj Gradec, Slovenia. 

This 3-day on-site training program will provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in studying the mechanical characteristics of polymers. Understanding these characteristics is essential for determining the suitability of polymers for various applications. Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge on polymer processing and practical skills through laboratory work. A special session is dedicated to discussing mechanical testing methods and how polymer processing impacts the mechanical properties of plastic materials.

The training is designed for students of chemistry, physics, and material science, and early-stage career researchers interested in polymer technology.

Topics include tensile test, bending test, compression test, Charpy test, and DMA test.
